Even if spring is still a while away, some blooming nature as decoration will bring sun into your home. Flowers in a jar are not only only a charming decoration for your home, but also make wonderful gifts when you visit friends or family. These instructions show you how to create an impressive decoration with just a few materials and a little creativity-perfect for spring or summer!
Step 1: Arrange the flowers in the jar
To start, you should remove the handle from your glass lanterns. If the handle is difficult to remove, you can use pliers to help. Of course, you can also leave the handle on if you prefer.
For bulbous plants such as hyacinths, remove the soil from the plant as best you can. If there are too many roots, you can shorten them without hesitation. Wrap the bulb and roots completely with moss so that they are well covered. Then place the plant and moss together in the jar. If there is not enough space, press down carefully and add more moss if necessary. The plant should have enough space at the bottom to spread out.
Step 2: Decorate the jar
To attach the decorative ribbons to your jar, cut off a sufficiently long piece. The ribbon should overlap slightly when placed around the glass. Attach double-sided adhesive tape. to both ends
Remove the protective film from one end and stick the ribbon around the glass at the desired height. Make sure it is tight and fix it in place by removing the second protective film and sticking the other end. For a special effect, you can also place a second, different width ribbon over it.
Glue the scatter decoration to the decorative ribbons with handicraft glue or place it decoratively at the top of the glass.
